W. Bradford Wilcox to Speak at BYU

PROVO, Utah (Oct. 24, 2023) — W. Bradford Wilcox, sociologist and director of the National Marriage Project, will address the students and faculty of BYU in a special forum on Nov. 28. The forum will be held at 11:05 am in the Marriott Center.

Wilcox holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Princeton University and is a professor of sociology at the University of Virginia. Wilcox’s research focuses on family, parenthood and marriage, especially causes and consequences of family change. Wilcox is the author of five books and is regularly featured in The New York Times, NPR, The Wall Street Journal and other media outlets.

Wilcox was raised by a single mother, which he credits for influencing his work and passion. “In today’s world, it’s more important than ever that we strengthen our families and relationships,” said Wilcox.
